John M. Yozzo is a first-generation Okie from Ponca City and a retired professor of English residing in Tulsa.Yozzo has been composing verses since early elementary school, trading Valentine's and Mothers' Day poems for remuneration from his grade school colleagues.He has published 3 volumes of poetry from Village Books Press: Only Wonder (2017); Echoes and Omens (2019); and Rhythm of the Years (2023).Yozzo will offer poems on his parochial upbringing, verses on family, and examples of his pursuit of the next best love lyric.
